What Might This Song Do to the Listener?

The narrator keeps circling the same question: am I enough for you yet? Every line bends back toward wanting to be seen, wanting to be chosen, wanting confirmation that change has earned affection. There's no answer given and none expected. The asking itself is the point, a loop that mistakes repetition for depth.

You hear this and it might scratch an itch if you're stuck in that same holding pattern, waiting for someone to notice you've tried. It feels familiar in a way that flatters the ache without pushing you to examine it. If you've already moved past that kind of stalling, these words slide right off. They stay on the surface of longing, comfortable there.

Do you think it should stay where it is, or be pushed further in one direction?

One vote per person per song per year. No single vote can move the needle far — it takes a crowd.

How the Audience Vibe is calculated

The needle is the compass degree nudged by the crowd, never a raw tally. Every "push higher," "push lower," and "agree" vote is recombined into one position each time someone votes:

  • Direction comes from the split. Only the gap between higher and lower votes moves the needle. "Agree" votes pull it back toward the compass degree.
  • It takes a crowd. Early votes move it gently — a handful shifts it only a point or two. The more lopsided the crowd, the further it goes.
  • It's capped. The audience can pull a song at most 15 points off the compass degree, either direction. No pile-on can push it past that.

So a single "push lower" on a song with few votes moves the needle a little (often a point or two), not all the way down — and it can never run away.
