What is this album about?

A hunger large enough to buy a world and small enough to hide behind one man's pride, with the light reaching it at the point he stops fighting.

How Does This Release Move Across Its Tracks?

This EP states the world's offer in the voice that makes it, itemised and unembarrassed, then widens the frame and carries the same appetite into a crowd moving fast with no one at the wheel. What it finds there is that the thing doing the eating already lives inside the people it eats.

The second movement narrows. The same hunger turns up in one person wearing the shape of pride, and the EP spends its last words on a surrender performed in the first person. Two positions carry no words and hold their places while that happens.

What Might This Release Do to a Listener?

An individual who takes in this EP whole absorbs one proposition at three scales, that the appetite consuming a market, a crowd and a person is a single appetite. The sequence moves the problem steadily closer until it arrives inside the listener, where it becomes something they can act on. Ownership becomes the practical response.

Repeat listening strengthens the habit of looking inward for a cause the material has already shown at larger scales. The listener grows readier to treat their own resistance as the operative obstacle and to regard surrender as an available move. Interior work acquires the standing of a remedy.

What Might This Release Do to a Society?

A society that takes this EP into common circulation grows practised at tracing public appetites back to private ones. Collective repetition of a sequence that names a bought market and a driverless crowd, then finds the same hunger in one person's pride, makes interior accountability a legitimate answer to a systemic complaint. Self-examination acquires civic standing.

At the population level this manifests as a widened tolerance for personal remedy alongside structural criticism. People grow readier to describe their own part in a condition they also name at scale, and admissions of resistance circulate more freely in ordinary speech. The private turn becomes an accepted move inside a public argument.
